Shoreham by Sea Launch Site

Shoreham is the premier Sussex port (the largest port between Dover and Portsmouth) serving a hinterland of over 400 thousand people including the major towns of Brighton, Hove and Worthing.

The harbour can be paddled and fished in most conditions and tide states as the harbour itself is well protected from the open seas outside the port.

To locate the launch site head through Shoreham town centre and take the coast road towards Brighton. Once you arrive at the lighthouse on the beach (Kingston Beach) you are in the right area. Free parking is in abundance.

There are 3 main areas to fish from your kayak in Shoreham Harbour :

1. The area near Shoreham power station cooling water outlet is a good area for Bass and Mullet.

2. The River Adur also offers some good fishing opportunities.

3. The basin inside the harbour is a decent area to fish if conditions outside the harbour are unsettled.
